Course modules
- Physical Ergonomics: Understanding the physical abilities and limitations of people in relation to interactive systems.
- Usability Evaluation Methods: Gathering and analysing user data through various methods e.g. think aloud, observation and evaluation and how to communicate this data.
- Cognitive Psychology: Cognition and human behaviour relevant to interactive systems.
- Design Techniques: The design process from sketching, personas, scenarios through to prototyping and high-fidelity designs.
- Perspectives on Design: Capturing user needs through ethnographic research and translating these into designs.
- Affective Interaction: Considering the affective (emotional) experience of the user when designing and evaluating systems.
